I can't record with ASIO drivers in Cubase Artist 14

I’m having a problem when I start recording with ASIO drivers in Cubase Artist 14.

  1. I open Cubase 14
  2. I go to the Studio tab
  3. Then to Studio Settings
  4. I select my ASIO driver, which is a Yamaha finger drum pad and a Yamaha piano (Portable Grand DGX 670)
  5. I create a new audio track
  6. I launch the instrument

But I get an error saying that the ASIO driver cannot be read.

The strange thing is that when I use Cubase Artist 12, I don’t have this problem. I can record my instruments with different ASIO drivers without any problems.

I use a Mac computer with Squoia OS.

I think that since the latest update, I’ve started having problems with Cubase Artist 14, because before I used it without any problems.

Hi,

Ensure, the driver is up to date (compatible with macOS Sequia and compatible with the M processors), please.

Hello Martin. I’ve already updated the driver on my Roland KEY 3 piano. But I’m just getting the error. The message I get says:

“Recording error. ASIO content not being processed.”

And this only happens with CUBASE ARTIST 14.

When I record with CUBASE ARTIST 12, the recording works normally.

Hi,

Do you run Cubase 12 in Native mode, or do you run it in Rosetta mode? If I remember correctly, by default, it was using the Rosetta mode.

You can try to switch Cubase Artist 14 to the Rosetta mode too. If this were to work, that would mean the driver is not Apple Silicon-ready.
