Hello. I’ve been wanting to buy Cubase for a while. I bought it the same day the 30% discount promotion + free plugins from several brands ended, on the morning of April 28th. To my surprise, due to technical reasons and the power outage we had in Spain, I couldn’t activate the license and lost the free plugins. Is there a way to justify the purchase and download them?
Hi and welcome to the forum,
Please, get in touch with the official Steinberg support.
Hey there, and welcome to the forum.
Oh, The Big Guy is replying. I’ll shut up now.
EDIT: LOL @Martin.Jirsak
Thank you. Could you tell me how to contact them?
Go to My Steinberg, click on Support and start a Support Ticket.
My plugin vouchers are valid to 26th May…I think they extended the deadlines.
If you click the arrow next to the redeem button in My Vouchers it shows the expiration dates.
Ahh…ignore me I missed the point…I guess you didn’t get the vouchers because you hadn’t activated Cubase by that date.
And not to be downer, or critical of the gesture from the SB team, but in my own personal opinion, you’re not missing anything. The 3rd party vendors make you register your email, get download managers, etc. etc. and it’s just not worth it. There’s nothing you can’t do with the plug-ins you already have in Cubase Pro. Again, my opinion.
I had most of those plugins already as ‘freebies’ that the vendors gave away at other times so you may even have a few already.
Thanks a lot, Thor. I understand what you’re saying, but free plugins are free plugins.
The problem is that when I was looking for information about which plugins they were giving away, only 3 or 4 appeared. Do you know which ones they are?
