I don't want the audio overview in the Edit window

I was able to do this in WL11 but in WL13 it is not working.

I followed these instructions…

In the Audio Files workspace, select Options > Audio file editing preferences.

Go to the Editing Tab.

Look at:

Open new audio file windows with overview.

De-acivate this option. The overview will no longer be displayed when you open an audio file.

If this option is activated and you open an audio file, the overview is also displayed.

I also cannot do this in WL12. In both cases the overview is still present…]

Thanks in advance.

At times I have noticed, when you open a file from recent file list, this setting is ignored. However, when you De Activate/Activate Overview and open file through Ctrl+O, the setting work the way it is meant to for all files including Recent Audio Files.

So something is wonky in the program…I just confirmed what you said…Thanks!

If the following option is set, the audio file opens in the same layout as when it was last closed, regardless of the overview option. Unchecking this option does not change this behavior because the file-related settings are always loaded if they exist.

Thanks as always for your answer. I will try that.

Thanks for explaining, I forgot about this setting .mem file is now .vs I assume.

Just checked and that option was not checked and it is still doing the same thing where it opens the overview when I open a file. Also without my asking or downloading it Wavelab Go was downloaded and installed it on my machine. What is going on???
