I have -or rather had- Cubase 12.2. Hadn’t used it for a couple of years or so but booted it up today. It loaded but said I was not online, even though as you can see I clearly am. Used it, played around for a couple of hours then found that there was an update on Steinberg’s website to download. I duly downloaded, attempted to install but then at the end of the process a dialog box popped up saying I had no valid license -which I very much do- and duly quit. I now have no program at all. If I try and run the program I get the same dialog box over and over.
My product page says “Cubase 12: Used on 1 computer: 80c2c399dd activated Mar 6, 2022, 11:42 PM” so really I’m just at a loss to understand what’s going on. And yes, I using the very same computer to write this message, which is the one and only device Cubase 12.2 was ever installed on.
Attempts to use the Download Assistant have completely failed. It loads, but as soon as you click OK on the successfully installed page it just disappears. Nothing happens, even after the tenth time of trying.
I understand a migration is occurring but I’ve not had an upgrade voucher or anything for a product I paid in excess of £600 for less than 3 years ago. If someone can help me get this resolved I’d be grateful.
What should happen when you see this message is your default browser should launch (if it isn’t already) and bring you to your MySteinberg log-in page. Once you have logged onto you Steinberg account via the web it will also tell the Activation Manager about being logged in and it will proceed. Perhaps the browser page is hidden behind something else? I’ve had that happen a couple of times.
Thanks for all your help. Cubase is loading now. There’s a lot of missing drivers for why I don’t know but the program is aware I’m online which is a material change from yesterday. But the driver issue has me scratching my head.
