Anyone got anything to help here? I’m on Elements 11 and I want my metronome to make just 1 click sound. Not a high and 3 lows or whatever. 1 equal pitch click. Why is that not possible?
Well, you can set up the click in a certain way:
Have a look if you can change it to be one sound only.
Hi and welcome to the forum,
You can also setup custom Click Patterns.
Thank you for the welcome. Here is an example. I can mute the high, but that leaves a mute on the 1. I just want a steady metronome beat - not 4/4 or anything - just 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 to infinity of the same tone.
It won’t let me make all 4 clicks, or 6 clicks in 6/4, or 5 in 5/4, the same sound. I want one sound, one tone for 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 etc to infinity.
I am not certain whether the following will work in Cubase Elements 11:
For Audio Click Settings chose the Steinberg Click Sound. Then click on the pitch parameter for the Hi sound. In my version I can change the frequency there. If it is possible also on your version then set it to the same value as the Lo frequency.
I’ve done that but all it does is create a silence for where the high would be.
Going by your screenshot you changed the level, not the pitch.
Pitch isn’t available apparently which is seen in the screenshot. Very disappointing because I know it was available in previous versions of Elements.
I resorted to adding a track with a constant rim shot. Seems to work just fine.
In your screenshot, under “Pitch” where it says “999Hz” and “849Hz”. Make those values equal.
I see what you’re saying and it makes sense in theory. What’s happening is the Hi stays higher than Lo at equal Hz. Additionally, when I toggle the Lo, the sound changes but the Hz number stays at 849. I was only about to get them to match but putting Lo all the way down to 500 and matching the Lo to it by ear. I guess it sounds ok. Very weird. Thanks for your help though.
