Iconica Sketch "Clash Cymbal" note rings out indefinitely?

I am not used to writing Orchestral percussion, the Playback does not match my expectation.

File->New->Template “Concert Orchestra” → loads instruments with Iconica Sketch including Percussion Map to “Iconica Sketch Percussion Map” which maps F#2[42] for the “Clash Cymbal” instrument to Iconica Sketch “Piatti Med Hit Clash Symbols Natural”

This measure, the Clash Cymbal rings out with open sustain:

I expected an 8th note Cymbal hit only (i.e. a hit then mute). A Cymbal hit which rings out indefinitely would be a whole note or longer. Is Dorico not sending a Note Off ?

There’s no way to damp this particular sound, other than by manipulating the channel volume directly. You can edit CC7 via the MIDI CC editor to have a rapid drop towards zero immediately following this note. It obviously won’t have the characteristic dampening sound, but it will at least prevent it from continuing to ring out.
