Meet Iconica Sketch: a groundbreaking all-new orchestral instrument for iPhone, iPad and every AU-compatible DAW. Offering rich, cinematic sound with exceptional speed and ease, it’s available at an exclusive launch price.
You can also save 40% on Cubasis and up to 50% on selected IAPs, now offering tempo and time signature track support, plus much more. Offer ends on January 7, 2025.
The standalone version of this app requires at least iOS 17.2 but Cubasis only needs 13 so the question is will this run as a Cubasis Instrument on iOS less than 17.2? Also is the discount really 25% as that would make the full price $26.65?
Cubasis for iPhone and iPad will have to be present on your iOS/iPadOS device, in order to install the additional Cubasis-version of the plug-in.
The Iconica Sketch for iPhone and iPad app is available at an introductory price of 19.99 euros or 19.99 US dollars until January 7, 2025, after which it is available at its regular price of 26.99 euros or 26.99 US dollars through the App Store.
Lars, Thanks for clarifying that, I assume even though I can install the in-app version even with that installed I will not be able to install the standalone version without iOS 17.2?
From what you say it sounds to me that it will not work at all as it requires iOS 17.2 and I have 15.7 which means I cannot install the standalone first, and then no chance of installing plugin!
Hi Lars,
I (and others) have devices that go to IOS 16.7.1 maximum. Could you tell me why Iconica “needs” IOS 17.x? I just want to know if there are technical reasons (cant imagine which one, Iconica is simply an advanced sample-engine which should work an nearly any IOS) or if Apple is restricting developers for new Apps on newest IOS for to sell more devices. If there is ANY was to bring new apps to devices that run at last IOS 15, I think any developer should use this possibility. I´d appreciate a short comment on the background of the IOS 17.x decision…
And - Thanks for the great Cubasis 3.7 update!!!
To enable advanced UI features and ensure a high-performing AUv3 plug-in experience, it became necessary to adopt iOS 17/iPadOS 17 as the minimum supported version.
We could have gone for iOS 18 and used even more modern language features, but we opted for iOS 17.2 in order to include more devices.
And I think it was a great move
The last true stable version of iOS was 17.4 so basing 17.2 was a good move to still use the audio and midi features available
