Idiot here cannot figure out envelopes!

Can’t believe I cannot figure this out!

I just want to hit a note and have it sound full volume for the attack then quickly drop down to about 40% amplitude and sustain at that level 'til I release it.

When I set the envelope how I think I should, it drops down as planned and then rises back up to full amplitude!

Node 1 0%
Node 2 100%
Node 3 40%
Node 4 (sustain node?) 40%
Node 5 0%

Can anyone please save my remaining hair from being ripped out?!

Which envelope are you referring to? Usually there are only 4 “nodes”: Attack, Delay, Sustain & Release and only the Sustain is a level (or amplitude) setting, the others being time parameters.
