If they ever offer a New Version of Nuage

If Steinberg/Yamaha or whomever ever releases a new an improved version of Nuage, these are the improvements that I’d like to see.

Built in display/meter bridge in or attached to the fader pack

Total Bi-Directional operation (not limited to Nuage hardware) On/Off button launches latest version of Nuendo/Cubase

Expanded Edit Section*(Dedicated Duplicate, Repeat, Crossfade, Process, etc. Buttons)

Attention Fader! (Selected Channel isn’t the same thing)

Dedicated Joy Sticks

Better Ergonomics between Jog & Cursor (one on the left and the other on the right)

Larger Scribble Strips

Expanded Channel View Options (Min. 16 via 1 row of 8 buttons plus shift) Plus All categories available in Button Selection (no “Others” button)

Larger Color block on Track Page

Unlimited KC Pages with Programable Colors!!

Anybody else who might have any suggestions, feel free to chime in.

No idea of future plans…but hey…did I mention enough how goooood the dm7s all looked next to connected Nuendo systems at the Yamaha Namm booth?

I mean…really really really nice. Those little overhead lights on those dm7s in a dark room…next to Nuendo…make me want to make records on the spot  And I’m an analog console guy.

Perhaps that’s the template for a next controller…perhaps not…no one would tell me at Yamaha

Did I say how absolutely cool the largest-format dm7 feels to navigate?

Ha! After the way they dissed the Mac users who invested in Nuage it would take a mighty effort from Yamaha to get me to invest in another large purchase from them.

Is their a reason why they discontinued it?

What happened?

Was there a lot of steinberg product at the Yamaha booth?

Yep
