No, unless you have maybe more than 543 clips to display in the Pool window. During how long is the ‘Image under reconstruction’ display ? I could be completely wrong, of course, but I would be worrying about my drive(s) access.
If you’re asking for how long the message appears in the Pool, then about 5 minutes for a file 10-20 hour long.
Are you saying that my HDD (not SSD) might be faulty?
Aha ! At 44.1 kHz, A 20 hours long stereo .wav file has something like 6.5 Gb of data. This could partially explains that… (*)
But what is strange is that, in the \images subfolder of your project one, there should a corresponding .peak file precisely created to avoid display timing issues such as this one, AFAIK.
Yep, or something that could slow the access of it. But considering the size of the file involved, I’m not so sure. Beside this, it’s a HDD, so the access is slower, especially if the disk is too fragmented.
(*) : Beside this, what is the format of your file ? It should be a wave 64 one as, if i remember well, a ‘normal’ .wav file cannot be longer than 2 Gb.
