New, empty CD standard (template) project… Before doing anything else, on attempting to import tracks from a CD, WL thinks about it for a bit then just disappears. Working ok otherwise. Happens every time I try. Anyone know anything I can do to remedy this please…?
I did uninstall WL 11 recently; used to work fine there. This is the first time I’ve tried an import CD in WL 12. Would I be wasting my time trying a fresh reinstall of 12…?

I tried a re-install of WL12 (from Download Assistant). No luck… exactly same thing happens.
Cubase 14 on same system, all works fine.
I’d rather WL performed, just as it used to on WL11… Obviously something’s changed (on my system); just a matter of knowing where to look/what to try to get things back as it was…
Do you know if any useful logs are created in this kind of situation (app disappearing; process/engine gone from Task Manager).? Where do I look.?

and enabled logging/crash reports…
I tried in the ‘Tools’ option at bottom of ‘File’ item in Montage window to do a DDP to CD. Again, straight ‘disappear’ of WL app. So definitely something here in my setup, that’s conflicting with CD handling for WL 12 right now…

No clue. But in the tithe of this thread, you say “Import CD” and in your last message “DDP to CD”. These are two very different functions (reading vs writing). Do you mean both functions are causing trouble?
