Import Sample Content Into Halion 7

Hi All,
I’ve had experience with loading in single samples which would be played on the proper notes on the keyboard. I am now trying to import a sample set. A folder of samples from another synth player. They are all WAV files. When I import them, Halion wants to play only one sample throughout the keyboard range. How do I program Halion to play the different samples with different keys? I understand that the order of the samples played may be proprietary to the previous instrument and may have to be assigned in some way so that Halion understands the proper order.
Thanks for your thoughts on this!

Map one WAV in a zone so that it fills the note range in the mapping editor. Create a zone for each wav. Now both samples play together for all notes.

Thanks for the hit.
To be clear, this is a sample set for a nylon string guitar. Therefore, I need one key to play one note at a time. The trick is, that one sample guitar note will range through maybe an octave, then it changes to another sample that will sound natural in the next octave. A sample note that sounds natural on C2 won’t sound natural on C5 so that octave will have to play the pertinent sample. As I’m writing this, it sounds like I’ll have to program different octaves to play a different sample to keep the natural continuity. Does this all make sense?

Maybe you can look at making one zone per string, set to mono. And set the zone range for where it only sounds natural.
If you want things to be smarter you probably need to look at scripting unless a midi module can get you closer to what you need. And then program you midi events accordingly.
I haven’t done this so I’m just trying to to give you some general insight.

Thanks for your thoughts. I hadn’t done this either so I’m open to suggestions. So far, you’re the only one that’s had them.
