Import .wav make stretch the Objekt. Why?

Hi,
someone sends me a ProTools wav file and I put it in my Cubase project.
But the Cubase import shows in the upper right corner of the audio object this stretch symbol.
What makes Cubase with the wav file?

uncheck musical mode in the pool / sample editor

Thanks a lot. But why only wav Files from Pro Tools? What make ProTools with the .wav Files?

the tempo info has been embedded into the metadata. it’s not just pro tools that are able to do it. usually it’s a pretty handy feature but not always. :] i almost learned that the hard way when i mastered some tracks at what seemed a very innovative tempo.
