Hi folks
I see this has been covered in some of the forums, but here is my specific dilemma:
using my reference mix from Cubase Artist 12, remote vocals recorded in Logic sent back to me are roughly 3/4 beat out of sync, delayed.
we’re both set to 24 bit / 44.1 however the the vocalist didnt set the BPM to match mine (120 vs my 141 bpm)
could this be the culprit?
seems odd since the only thing they are referencing is my stereo mix to sync their vocals to, nothing else in their daw is used on their end of recording.
Its a “drift” delay in timing, not exactly 3/4 but roughly. Seems to be constant from top to end of file. They ddint send back the ref mix but thats a good idea - will ask them to and see if thats out as well, thanks!!
Drift usually describes the issue you get with mismatched sample rates…so it would start in time but gradually drift out of time.
If it’s definitely same at start and end then it sounds like they just set a wrong start point (which could well happen because they didn’t set tempo the same so the bars would only line up at bar 0 and maybe they dropped the files at a later bar)
