Importing a Film that Reads Video Frame Rate Mismatch

It happens sometimes here too.
I assume it has to do with the codec used for creating the clip.
What I do in such situations is I convert the movie on my Cubase computer with either QuickTime Pro or Xilisoft Video Converter or Vegas if nothing else seems to work. There I can specify my settings for the clip (quality, FPS…) and after the conversion Cubase is usually happy and all stays in synch.

Could you say a little more about the export settings please? I have the same problem…sometimes the movie doesn’t sync with the pictures.

Thank you. There is a setting for 29.97. I will try that.

Midibass, I export at the same frame rate as in Vegas which is 23.976. When I import it into Cubase it reads Mismatch, but the audio and picture does sync. I was just concerned about whether the music would sync once I drop it back into Vegas.
