Importing key commands file from one version to another

Hey everyone,

I saw that you could do it via profile manager but I’m only interested in the key commands and not other settings because I’m troubleshooting, so I downgraded from version 11 to 10.5

I saw that the path to the settings is:
C:\Users[user name]\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase 11_64

But there’s no *.key file there, not even on my whole pc actually.

In Cubase 11 (from which I want to export) I did save a preset of my key commands but I don’t see it as a key file

So my question is: How do you export a key commands file?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

The Key Commands (and the Macros) are stored in the Key Commands.xml file in the folder you mentioned.

Just copy the Key Commands.xml from the source Cubase preferences to the destination Cubase preferences folder, please.
