Importing multiplex MP4 audio

Good morning!
Working on a film project, and I received a multiplex MP4 (H264) from my editor (multiple audio tracks for me to work with, one with temp, one with sound design etc…; 4 tracks in total; all visible and separately audible in VLC.)
When I import this file to Cubase (14 pro) it doesn’t show the audio. The function ‘import audio from video‘ doesn’t work (just straight up doesn’t do anything, doesn’t even show an error or something).
Is this function not supported or am I missing something?

I’d be interested to know too. Video import has been hit and miss for a long time now. I too have had video that just doesn’t import audio. One of them I split the audio out in reaper! Surely Cubase which is way more expensive should have better compatibility.
