As the title says; File->Import->Video or Audio from Video does absolutely nothing. No response, no progress bar.
It worked in Cubase 5 when I tried, about a month ago.
Cubase 6.5.3 32bit
Windows 7 64bit
The format is .mov. I converted it to mp4, same result.
Doesn’t work on Cubase 64bit.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
I had the same problem some time ago and solved it with installing a win7 codec pack.
Also I discovered, that for me .avi movies works best with cubase.
Which codec pack?
There might be better solutions than install this codec pack, but I dont use Cubase with video anymore, bec Cubase sucks with videos. so I´m not a big help anymore.
my previev screen still remains black, and still dont know what is the issue. but I can import video and see the video thumbs in the track at least

I’ve had K-Lite Codec Pack since the first days of this computer, which didn’t help obviously.
Uninstalled it, restarted, installed Quicktime player. Didn’t help. Installed DivX codecs from the Quicktime website (google quicktime codecs). That did it. I suspect the Quicktime PLAYER is irrelevant and can be uninstalled, but I don’t want to risk the tiny chance that it is crucial.
