Imports don't keep part layout defaults

In the attached file, I cannot get XML-imported parts to keep their default Part Layout settings. Each time I import, I have to manually change every setting for the parts.

I’ve selected “Part Layout” from the dropdown at the bottom left corner of Layout Options and saved as default, but to no avail.

Am I missing something?

Can you point to some settings that aren’t being retained? I can’t instantly spot any problems here…
