In Anticipation of Cantai for Dorico

As April 30th is the target date for the release of Cantai for Dorico (hopefully with the new choir voices) I present this little Choral Prayer Response. I’m really looking forward to how it might play in Dorico with Cantai and Dorico’s wonderful playback capabilities.
MuseScore isn’t so great with the choral crescendo or accurate articulations in the brass here. I composed it in Dorico, of course, but had to export the .xml to MuseScore to render it with Cantai. I’m anticipating the end of this month.** :wink:

Cantai sounds like an awesome advance to vocal scoring for Dorico enthusiasts. Will this tool only be available to Version 6 of Dorico?

Michael

Yes, there were special hooks added in v6 to support Cantai.

OK thank you.

Would you be able tell me if my Dorico Pro 5 purchase in August 2024 will eligible for the ‘grace period’ pertaining to upgrading to Dorico 6, or where I can get an answer to that quedtion?

It depends on the activation date not on the purchase date

From Dorico blog

If you first activated Dorico Pro 5 or Dorico Elements 5 on or after Wednesday 27 March 2025, you are eligible for a free grace period update to Dorico Pro 6 or Dorico Elements 6 respectively. You will receive an email to your registered Steinberg ID email address with more information.

@Viola32,

I say this with all due respect but I just saw posts from you in six different threads regarding AI. Before reading them I thought that AI had taken over the forum…

I think we all know how strongly you feel about it but can you please leave your thoughts to one relevant thread?
