In Cubase 15, how to stop the Articulations lane from collapsing Slots

Hi, when I edit parts in Key Editor, I often switch between different lanes (for example, Articulations and CC 1).

Somehow, every time I switch to Articulations, all slots lines are collapsed and I need to expand them with a click. Is it possible to tell Cubase not to do this?

I use Cubase 15.030

In the Key Editor Lower Zone is it setup to display a single Lane and you are switching what is displayed in that Lane? Or does it display multiple Lanes and you are shifting focus between them?

I have an expression map for Cinematic Studio Strings, where I have created three articulation groups: Slots, Legato, and Modifications.

All of them are collapsed every time I am switching to the Articulations controller lane (lower zone of Key Editor): even when they were opened previously.

I have made a small video here (11 MB): Bildschirmaufnahme 2026-06-18 um 00.58.05.mov - pCloud

If you have the articulations open and then change stuff in the Velocity Lane do the articulations collapse or stay open?

I’m not at Cubase so can’t test, but I think they’ll stay open. If that’s the case there are 2 approaches you can take.

  • Add an additional 3rd Lane to the Lower Zone & use that for your cc’s & whatever.
  • Instead of switching back & forth on your Articulation Lane, use the Velocity Lane to switch

Yes, if I switch controllers in the upper lane (Velocity Lane), then Articulations do not collapse. Unfortunately, it is not as convenient for me as I prefer to have a relatively short Velocity lane and a tall Controller/Articulations lane.

Let’s hope that Steinberg team will fix it in later updates.
