in WAV I do not think you can do that. I guess that the new feature to export marker tracks is just marker track. for mp3 you can export with track name

you can add to a .wav file, if you export using audacity, it has an option include metadata, seems strange cubase wouldn’t support that

I use this little app to tag and add pictures to my wav files after I export from Cubase. Very handy as a default media player for audio

audacity does the job very well, its just a shame it cant be done from cubase (not that I can find anyway), seems like a massive omission to me

SB Wavelab does this for you, and has extensive workflows built around this process. I think you may even be able to leverage some of the metadata features using the ARA plugin in Cubase, but I do not know that. If you’re using Audacity for production work, you may want to check out the Wavelab trail and see if it works for you.

I don’t use audacity for production work, I do everything in cubase. When I need to add metadata to a wav file, Ill use audacity

Wav has very limited metadata capabilities. If you add metadata with Audacity, the file could become unreadable by other players.
Broadcast wav files can store metadata. You can edit these with the Mediabay.
