This suggestion is only valid if sales of these are low enough to include at least some of them (channel strip, for example) in the next upgrade. This can interest more people in upgrading since inividual plugins cost about 75 euro which isn’t very competitive. Thus, by getting more money from upgrades Steinberg could make up for (presumably) low sales of the plugins by themselves.
