Incorporating a second take into same part (especially in score edit)

If I’m in the score editor and record a second take, this take isn’t visible and incorporated into the original take unless I exit the editor and paste the newly created part to the original. I’m sure there’s an option for this, but I can’t find it in the preferences or in the manual.

Hi,

In the Score Editor, enable Record in Editor.

Make sure you hit Record button at Transport Panel (not at the Transport strip in the Project window) or from any hardware Remote Device, so the focus stays in the Score Editor.
