Input recording problem

hello I have been using Cubase 13 for some time now with a minifuse 2 Arturia soundcard and a macbook pro with the M2 chip and i’ve updated it to the new Tahoe 26 update. Two weeks ago i started a new project and i set up all the inputs and outputs correctly but no sound would get recorded exept from some jumps off souns that get through for a milisecond. I know that the input to my soundcard works because i do get sound from my monitors but the sound in the software won’t get through i checked everything i can think of and i can’t find it, all of my inputs and outputs are set like i’ve always set them and so does everything else. if someone knows what i’m talking about and can help it would be much appriciated!!!

Hi,

Make sure Cubase has enabled Mic in the System Preferences, please.
Open macOS System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Microphone. Enable Cubase here.

I’ve already checked that, the microphone is enabled but as i said there are random miliseconds of sound in the recording that does get through

Check Mac voice isolation or ambient noise reduction are off.

not that

Well Steinberg have not announced compatibility with Tahoe yet so it’s possible you hit a bug, though others are reporting it works OK. Test with another software?

i tried to install back the macOS Sequoia but i didn’t succeed does someone have any idea for what more can i do?

Hi,

To ensure the problem is on the Input side only… What happens if you import any Audio from the MediaBay to a track? Can you hear the audio correctly?

If you record some audio, do you see any waveform (at least at the places where you can hear “some jumps off sounds”)?

Is the Arturia minifuse 2 soundcard macOS 26 compatible?

I can hear the audio correctly when I import sound and I can see sound waves when there are the jumps of sound the soundcard is working with the macOS 26 because I can record audio from the voice memos app that I already have on my computer
