Input settings

I just replaced my mixer with a Behringer Xenyx 1204 usb FX. The input and output works on all my older software, but only the output works with Cubase 11. When I go into the input settings menu, it shows my ASIO as being present, but it’s highlighted yellow instead of blue, and will not let me select it. Looking for a solution. Thanks in advance!

Can you post a screenshot?

The mixer isn’t currently here. I accidentally bought the model without effects and won’t receive the new one until Wednesday or Thursday, but Cubase is still responding to the ASIO exactly the same. Thanks for the speedy response!

Edit: I can’t select the generic low latency ASIO driver in photo.

This is one of these Behringer mixers that don’t come with their own, dedicated ASIO driver but rely 3rd party drivers. Usually Behringer offers to install ASIO4ALL.
But the Generic Low Latency ASIO Driver from Steinberg can also work.

I guess you need to enable the inputs in this driver first.

Studio → Studio Setup… then select the entry below Audio system. Finally click on the button “Control Panel”.
In the control panel, mark one of the inputs and one of the outputs.
Afterwards you should be able to use them in the Audio Connections dialog.

I downloaded ASIO4ALL last night. It tranfers the audio to my laptop speakers and clips really bad.

ASIO4ALL is a generic piece of software. It is actually freeware and has nothing to do with Behringer in particular.
So, also if you use ASIO4ALL you have to open the control panel and select the Behringer input and output as the audio device you want to use.

I’m hoping the upgraded mixer fixes the issue. I honestly wasn’t expecting this quick of a response. Lol! I’ll get back to you in a few days and let you know after it arrives where things are at. Thank you!

You’re welcome.
