Insert Time AFTER a Cycle Marker

Hi,

I was wondering if I could the following task using preferable using markers.

Assume I have a 8 measure music and I have a cycle marker from Measure 3 to 5. I want to insert a blank time from 6 to 8. What is the easiest way to achieve this. Here is the illustration of what I am trying to achieve. The top lines are measure numbers.

Hi,

Set the Left Locator to 7 and the Right Locator to 9. Edit > Range > Insert Silence.

Or use Project > Signature Track > Process Bars Dialog. Start: 8, Length 2, Insert bars.

Thank you martin. Your method that is useful in my case, “Set the Left Locator to 7 and the Right Locator to 9. Edit > Range > Insert Silence.” puts Inserts time Before (and not after as I wanted) the selection. I want to have same amount of time as it is selected inserted AFTER the selection.

Also Is it possible to Copy a selection after a measure? Or maybe I should ask it in another forum.

Where Second E F is copy of measures 5 and 6.

Hi,

For this scenario I would use the Arranger track.

  1. Arranger event A would over A-D sections.
  2. Arranger event B would over E-F sections.
  3. Arranger event C would over G-H sections.
  4. Open Arranger editor and set it as A, B, B, C.
  5. Flattern to current project.
