Is there an equivalent in Dorico 5 to the Finale edit command of “Insert measure stack”? In other words, if a score has three 8 measure phrases that sequence A B C, and I want to rearrange it as A C B, is there a way to quickly accomplish this in Dorico besides creating 8 empty measures after A, and then pasting the contents of C into these blank measures? Thanks from a decades long Finale user.
Yes. Use Insert Mode..
You can then either cut section C, select the start of B and hit paste. OR you can select section C (or B) and drag it wherever you need it to be.

Thanks!
I’ve now done a bit of experimenting with Insert Mode, and I am learning a few things. I have meter changes in my piece. So one issue that was causing me problems earlier was assuming that selecting a measure by clicking on an empty staff line would also select the time signature, but apparently I have to use the Marquee Select tool to capture both time signature and the staff notated durations at the same time.
You can also use the System Track to select measures – it selects everything in the indicated measures.
