Inserting a pick up bar

Hello again - so, I have done some research, but still can’t find exactly what I hope to do. I’m sure it’s right in front of me. So I have a song and I created rehearsal marks, repeats etc on the bar numbers where I need them to be but then realized I need a pick up measure. Is it possible to insert a 1 beat pick up measure without changing all my bar numbers, rehearsal marks etc by one? Thanks.

Sure:

Click your first note, and hit Shift-B and then “1q” in order to create the one extra beat.
Then double-click your time signature and turn for example “4/4” into “4/4,1”, which will instruct Dorico to create the pickup bar with the length of 1 time unit, in this case one quarter note.
Voila!

If you don’t mind, mark this as solved to help others! :hugs:

Could you give the “solved” tick to the appropriate post, the one that actually solves the problem? That way, a reader would read your problem and the solution right underneath.
[Edit] obviously, my post is not the appropriate one :person_shrugging:
Hint: the appropriate one is the 2nd one
