Apologies in advance, if that question has been asked and answered before.
I want/need to add a circular arrow symbol inside text remark.
But if I enter “↻” Dorico treats it just as a regular text.
A clarification: I see that in my message the HTML is recognized, but not in my text remark in music.
What is the proper way of adding HTML entity?
TIA

Dorico doesn’t parse HTML, so it won’t respond “correctly” to things like
.
You’ll need to see if there is a Unicode glyph for this symbol, and then use a font that contains it.
There are two already in Bravura under Percussion Playing Techniques.
Right-click in the text field and select Insert Music Text.

Thank you for the prompt replay.
The unicode is “\u21BB”, but that is for javascript.
So, what is the syntax that Dorico would recognize?
Thank you. I’ll give it a try as well.
That will depend on your Operating System’s method for entering Unicode characters.
Actually, I found that Dorico does offer a method: no “U”, just 4 characters, followed by ‘option-X’.
Thank you both for your inputs.
