I’m encountering a lot of crashes on a daily basis. Most often is when I open a project (which after reopening Cubase opens just fine), and sometimes also mid-work, but couldn’t identify any specific action that causes it. Feels pretty random.
As I assume Steinberg folks are working on it, I’m not gonna complain much, but I would love to hear if any of you had any experiences with specific actions that caused the crashes to be less frequent or solved completely.
I’m running Cubase 14.0.10 on a M1 Max MacBook Pro.
As nobody nows about your crashes it is likely that nobody works on fixing them.
Please upload crah reports (.ips files) for further investigation. And, on an additional note, between Christmas and New Year there is not much happening in Germany workwise.
Midi work can be touchy in Cubase especially if you use a Yamaha Genos 2.
I get notes behaving as though they have a mind of their own. Saving regularly is the key. I have a botton screen that flickers and goes back to the main screen and then Cubase 14 disappears but does not happen if you enlarge the page you currently work on. Nevertheless once midi is converted to wave you have a sigh of relief. I have put a note in about that .
