Inspector / Visibility tab puzzle

Hello.
Puzzled here. The two tabs mentioned seem to have swapped functions, sort of.
If I click Visibility it shows what I’d expect to see under Inspector. If I select ANY tab such as fader it immediately swaps to the visibility list? If I then select Inspector tab it shows the visibility list! I’ve restarted, rebooted and opened a different project and that too has the same problem. What’s happening? Hopefully the screenshots are attached.

Hi,

I have never seen this.

Could you try in the Cubase Safe Start Mode [Disable preferences], please?

If it doesnæt help, try to rename the Cubase Preferences folder, to get the factory settings, please.

Cubase Preferences folders are:
Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/Cubase X
Win: %appData% \Steinberg\Cubase X_64

Where the X is the Cubase version (for example 13).

Hi Martin.
Thanks for the reply.

I will try your suggestion next time it happens. Meanwhile I decided to check that my pc had all the recent updates and found that it had not. I ran the updates and restarted my pc. Just out of interest I restarted cubase and it was back to normal!

I can’t see how a windows update would affect a minor program bug(?) but there we are, it seems fine now.

Thanks again for your response.

Regards Dino.

Hi,

I was thinking it’s always like this on your side. If it’s not the case, then the default preferences would not help.

Then we have to investigate, when does it happen?
