Installed Cubase Elements 8.0 CRASHES on Startup ?

Hi Guys ,
I installed the demo version of cubase elements 8.0.40 on my mac pro

It immediately Crashes during startup (I have the crash logs) :imp:

I have spent a whole day searching here for answers. and support for cubase is non accessible it seems ?
My plans are to jump ship from Pro Tools 12 over to Cubase Pro …, but I just want to use the months demo on elements first to get a feel …, ie if I can get it to work :cry:

I used the service centre and updated everything it asked ?

…, any clues ?

My MAC Specs
Computer : Mac Pro (late 2013) - OS Yosemite 10.10.5
Processor : 3.5 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon E5
Memory : 64 GB 1866 MHz DDR3 ECC
Graphics : AMD FirePro D300 2048 MB
Interface : Avid Mbox 3 Pro

Possibly the default folder issue in this thread…fix is described there.

Cheers Grim …, nothing here seemed to work / apply in my case …, including the last suggestion of removing waveshell vst3 :cry:

On Windows I would try renaming any vst 2 plugin folders to see if it’s caused by plugin incompatibly. Can you do the same thing on Mac?

Yes, you can: LIbrary/Audio/Plug-is/VST. All(!!!) VST2 plug-ins are stored here.

Hi Guys , I got Cubase to finally open …, I ended up removing the AVID CORE AUDIO PLUGIN from the HAL Folder.

Seeing as my interface is an AVID Mbox3 Pro …, This is a driver that Avid have not had work correctly since mavericks , and its still not fixed .
