Installing the 'DAW Integration Script' for my 'Arturia Keylab Essential MK3'

Anyway, since I realize that copying/pasting files is not perhaps the most straight-forward way, here’s the one I suggest, based on how Cubase actually likes importing/exporting midi remote surfaces.

  • Download this file:

Arturia_KeyLab Essential mk3.midiremote (18.1 KB)

It’s the exported script we’re talking about from inside Cubase.

  • Open Cubase and then Studio→MIDI Remote Manager

  • You’ll see a button Import Script

  • Click it and then find and select the file you’ve just downloaded.

If all went well, you’ll see the device added to the scripts section, and most probably Cubase will recognize it immediately and set it up as a MIDI Remote.

If this doesn’t happen, you’ll have to manually assign its ports by using the big PLUS button in the MIDI Remote tab of the lower window zone, select your device and its ports (I don’t have this controller, this is why you won’t see in this screenshot the MIDI ports that should be assigned).
