I’ve recently started to use Instrument tracks more (instead of Racks), for better import/export options. However, it’s hugely frustrating that I cannot play that instrument when the track is muted to try out different ideas. Sure, I can create a New Version, or mute parts on the track instead, but that’s more faffing and clicking when, say, I just want to try out a new piano line.
Have I missed something? Or would a Mute MIDI button be useful? It could be implemented much like Solo Defeat, by Alt Clicking Mute. Thoughts or suggestions…
