Hi all, opened up a project that I’ve been working on for the past few days.
All the tracks that have Kontakt “session guitars” on are randomly changing.
This happened even on an empty track with an instrument in. Seems like Cubase is sending out some random Midi info.
I haven’t knowingly changed any settings. I thought it was on Kontakt but I tried HALion’s T guitar and the same things happening.
I’ve reset Cubase to factory, I’ve checked sample rates. It’s puzzling me as it all worked perfectly before. I’ve tried turning my keyboard off but it makes no difference.
I can’t find the solution anywhere. Everything else is fine. I must have changed something by accident but no idea what. Just to add that I’m having simultaneous latency issues and the track just stops.
I have Cubase 12 pro -updated to latest.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
the midi monitor on the tracks are going nuts, changing between midi channels when there are no events.
This is doing it one every track now. I have no idea why and or how to reset.
I’ll put a picture up of my midi inputs - but even when this is unplugged the same thing is happening.
I added a trial of Neural DSP at the weekend but have now uninstalled but the issues seem to prevail.
Should I uninstall cubase and start a fresh???
Once silly thing you try is Midi Reset in the bottom of the Midi Menu , other than that i would say disable your preferences and see if it still happens if not then you have a plugin feeding back on a loop somewhere i should imagine . Have any of your plugins got Midi Outs ?
Also are all your midi tracks on receive all midi in’s , if so just swap them over to the Controller channel in the inspector
In your second screen shot you show 2 all midi in’s ,what happens if you untick those two boxes ?
I unticked them this morning and it made no difference.
I thought it was the neural DSP - Tim Henson plugin but again made no difference removing it. I’ll have a look at Kontakt later but it did the same with HALion instruments also.
Do you know if there’s a way of filtering midi on the tracks?
Geezer, you’ve been really helpful. I really appreciate your help and time.
I’m doing a restoration from a back up and praying that a previous configuration (August) will sort it out.
Okay, found it that it was a section in the tracks with kontakt instruments.
I opened a fresh project and imported the tracks one by one.
All sorted now.
