Integration With Digital Membership Card

Hi everyone,

I am exploring a concept where an external digital membership card system could be used to manage access to music production resources such as presets, sample packs, or project files used inside Cubase.

The idea is based on a membership/QR-based authentication system where users are verified externally, and based on that verification, specific production assets could be made available to them for use in Cubase workflows.

For example, third-party platforms like MembershipAnywhere (or similar membership management systems) could potentially handle user authentication and access control, while the actual content (presets, samples, project templates) would be synced or made available locally for use inside Cubase.

I understand Cubase does not natively support direct integration with membership or CRM-style systems. However, I am curious if there are any recommended approaches that could help achieve something similar, such as:

  1. API-based workflow between external system and local asset management
  2. File-based content unlocking (presets / samples / project templates)
  3. Automation tools or scripts that sync authorized content into Cubase folders
  4. Common practices in audio production for controlled content distribution

The goal is not to modify Cubase itself, but to build an external layer that manages access to production assets in a structured way.

Would appreciate any guidance on whether this kind of workflow is technically feasible within DAW environments or Steinberg ecosystem practices.
