While using Pro-Q 4, I noticed that different tracks will be viewed as a same instance. Is that because of iOS’s limit or is it actually a bug, just kind of curious.
Btw I really want PDC to experience Pro-Q 4’s spectral eq without adjusting frozen audio again and again, plz ignore this inner voice.
I’m using Pro-Q4 pretty much always on all tracks and haven’t noticed it, but I’ll keep an eye out for it.

I’ve tried to recreate it using various settings, including iOS windowed mode, but no avail. What’s interesting about it, is that to the right of the FabFilter Pro-Q4 logo there are unusual items, such as a slider, a search field and a Help menu. Perhaps that’s a clue to what could be going on.
Well, this is actually an intended function fabfilter made to let you have an overview on every fabfilter plugin in daw (even in different tracks, sadly, the access to c-3 and etc. is not possible due to apple’s security concern) ,maybe you can learn more here:
The problem is that: you see, inside it’s interface, there’s not only horizontally listed plugins, but also vertically listed ones, this happens when they are on different tracks, but for Cubasis, it’s viewed as if they are in the same rack, that’s why I’m confused.

Additionally, you can enter this interface by clicking the name in the bar at bottom inside q4 (usually “Cubasis 3” in Cubasis)

Thanks for the tip! I had no idea about this feature; it’s gonna be useful; switching between Pro-Q4s track by track in Cubasis is cumbersome.
For what it may be worth, here’s what it looks like here. It lists the Pro-Q 4 inserts that are on each track, which, if I understand you correctly should not be listed horizontally, but vertically, i.e. the horizontal listing is reserved for plug-ins that are inserted on the same track.
So, then what I did, was insert a bunch of Pro-Q4s on the same track, which didn’t change things; everything is still listed horizontally. If I had many FabFilter plug-ins inserted, this would be quite a mess to sort out which is what and where. (I only have the Pro-Q4 to test with lol, saving up for the FabFilter Pro bundle).

Btw, you can use the slider to zoom in, and use the amount of bands and their relative position to remind yourself which group it is (like two dots for strings and a dot next to them higher to represent vln. ? That’s the most convenient way I can think of under current circumstances)
Also, composing piano altogether with strings is kind of hard but so cool to me, keep going!

I moved pretty much all of my production from PC to iPad last year, and it’s taken some time to replace the wonderful Arturia FX Collection I’m using there. The just as wonderful but very different FabFilter will be filling in the remaining blanks, and its good to know that a deep integration such as this is available in FabFilter.
Yeah, piano and string quartet is a challenge, for sure… They don’t simply naturally blend, and in this piece especially, I keep considering throwing the piano out

Initially, my issue is about why q4 treats various tracks as a same track, thus this issue is not yet solved.
Also while using swam violin I noticed that it will also treat different tracks using the same name “Cubasis 3” , so I will consider this due to iOS’s system level’s not supporting.
Please let me know if I’m right (Plugins cannot recognize which track it’s in due to iOS’s structure issue)
And I’m quite sure that every block I create is about different issue/feature request, so please read it.

I’ve not yet reach out to FabFilter nor Audio Modeling but this is the update:
In Garage Band, SWAM Violin and FabFilter Pro-Q 4 runs perfectly well. (although I prefer Cubasis3 most)
In Cubasis3, they will be treated as if they are all in the same track.
In Logic Pro for iPad and Drambo, MAGICALLY (since Logic Pro doesn’t perform well as Garage Band) , they will be treated as if they are in different tracks (even if in the same track) , and named by their loaded time.
In n-Track, SWAM violin performs like Drambo but I cannot test AUv3 effects cause I didn’t subscribe.
Thus this is possibly a problem caused by DAW.

Out of curiosity, does it look the same if you make the plug-in area in Cubasis a bit bigger?
OK, I can see all the instances but the layout is slightly different in Cubasis.
(The same Pro Q4 functionality is still there in hall hosts as far as I’ve tested).

I gave FabFilter Pro-Q3 a short check on the iPad Pro where things work as expected.
If you believe there is an issue with FabFilter Pro-Q4, please provide a proper bug report, including your device/iOS info, and detailed steps to reproduce the behavior. This information will help us investigate further.

At this point the issue is that AUv3 plugins cannot know which track they’re on and the name of the track, and the expected behavior is like in Garage Band as picture above. This issue doesn’t only exists in Cubasis 3 but also many other DAWs (Logic Pro, Drambo, n-Track and etc)
Although I believe this is a wide-exist issue but my device is as below.
