Interchangeable time signature with different metronome markings?

Hi everyone,
I am copying a score for Vn, Vc, Piano. At some point I have a section where the strings have an interchangeable time signature: 12/16(2/4). The piano sticks with 2/4 as you can see below (sorry, I cannot share more).

I order to achieve this, I’m operating as you can see in the sample below, a combination of pick-up bars, hidden tuplets and (after note inputting), lots of “make into system”.

I’m having the results I want, but it really takes much energy and to me seems to be really time consuming.

Is there a more elegant and faster way to achieve this? Thanks.

I think the general approach to this sort of problem is to use hidden tuplets for the violin keeping it in 2/4, and only mess around with the first bar to get the (local) time signature correct, hiding the return to 2/4 in the second bar.

Hi @AndreLorenzatti here a video with a possible workflow [as @Janus meanwhile suggested above  ]:

I forgot: you can change the separator:

Here more infos, and also the “note” for Interchangeable:

Note
You must manually input the appropriate time signatures where you want them, as unlike alternating time signatures, there is no fixed pattern for them. Any time signatures you input after an interchangeable time signature that are specified in it are hidden automatically until you end the interchangeable time signature.

Thanks @Janus and @Christian_R!

(Glad it helped. The Solution thought should go to @Janus, because he answered first, while I was recording my video )
