I have Elements 8 and I am trying to input sound via a USB Behringer
XENIX302 mixer. The sound is very distorted. In order to register any
sound I am using ASIO4ALLall v2. Is this a compatibility issue, and if so,
would a UR12 interface be guaranteed to give me trouble-free sound input to
Elements?

No, it’s not compatibility issue. Cubase can work with any ASIO driver.
Is it also recorded distorted? If yes, just decrease the volume. If not, try increase Buffer Size, please.
