I previously installed Cubase LE AI Elements 12 on an HP laptop and tried to install it in another one (same brand).
A new activation code was generated for the installation on the new laptop.
However, an error message is displayed when I enter the activation code on the eLicenser Control Center: “The activation code has been used already. An activation code can be used only once to download or upgrade a license.”
Is there any way this issue can be fixed without contacting the software vendor?
Cubase 12 is not using an Activation Code. This was used in the eLCC only. In times of using eLCC you didn’t need a new Activation Code. We did the Reactivation. With Cubase 12 you can activate your license on up to 3 computers. So you don’t need a new code either.
Please, describe what version you have, what you did, and what you want to do.
Hi and thank you for your answer and welcoming me to this forum.
I want to have access to the software I bought with a Steinberg UR22C audio interface in 2019. I got through the Steinberg Download Assistant and was able to download Cubase LE AI Elements 12, Cubase LE AI Elements 11, Halion Sonic, Groove Agent SE 5…
However, whether it is with Cubase LE AI 12 or Cubase LE AI 11, the same error message is prompted when I open them: “No valid license found. The program will quit now”.
When I open the Activation Manager, another message is displayed:
"No license was found. If you already bought the software and received a Download Access Code, you can launch Steinberg Download Assistant to enter this code and obtain the necessary license.
If you did not buy the software yet, you can obtain it by going to the Steinberg online store or to a Steinberg reseller. You will then receive a Steinberg download code that you will be able to enter in Steinberg Download Assistant".
I already bought the software and a second Download Access Code was generated that was used to download the versions and VST’s on this second computer and no license was found.
Is there any way to fix that without going to a reseller? The second activation code might have been provided to someone else before.
Here are some of the error messages that get displayed on the screen when I’m trying to run Cubase or the Activation Manager.
Are any of these supposed to be generated when I launch the applications?
The first message says:
"No license has been found. The software cannot be launched because no Cubase LE AI Elements license has been found on your account. Click “Retry” if a license has just been added to your account.
More Information…
Retry
Abandon"
And the last one says:
"No license has been found.
If you already bought the software and received a Download Access Code), you can launch Steinberg Download Assistant to enter this code and obtain the necessary license.
If you have not bought the software yet, you can obtain it by going to Steinberg Online Shop or to a Steinberg reseller. You will then receive a download code that you will be able to enter in Steinberg Download Asisstant."
Sorry, but your reply is a bit confusing to me. You mentioned buying software in 2019 and then you show that you are attempting to load Cubase 12 versions. But you couldn’t have purchased Cubase 12 in 2019. Did you recently purchase the newer versions, and if so exactly what program did you purchase?
