This is a solution that I’d like to share, which costed a few hours of frustration.
My situation was that while CB uses QuickTime as a wrapper for videos, my PC registry was corrupted due to whatever reason and couldn’t install iTunes/ QuickTime properly. Symptoms were “… Verify that you have sufficient access to that key” error pop ups during install. I have tried absolutely everything i.e. completely removing any apple related products and re-installing as directed by Apple, changing registry ownership of Apple and Windows Installer in regedit, using Windows Install Clean Up, etc.
The way to solve this is to install a QuickTime alternative called QuickTime Lite, and everything will work. Hope this could help someone in the future.
