(iOS) Can patterns saved in Audio Unit instruments be triggered in Cubasis 3?

Sorry if this is a common question - new to Cubasis and couldn’t find this anywhere.

When I load an Audio Unit like Drumcomputer into a MIDI instrument track, it loads (i.e. I can play each drum pad in Drumcomputer and it makes a sound) but the patterns saved in Drumcomputer won’t play when I hit the Play button in Drumcomputer or in Cubasis. I’ve turned on “Send MIDI Clock” in Cubasis and selected “Clock Start: Host” in Drumcomputer, but that doesn’t trigger the pattern. I’ve also set the MIDI channel inputs/outputs correctly (I think) but still no output.

My goal is to play a pattern saved in the AU instrument and have Cubasis record it as a MIDI sequence so I can change the sounds later if desired, or at least record the Drumcomputer pattern as an audio file in Cubasis without having to record it in the standalone app and export from there. Any guidance would be appreciated!

On the top of the AU window you’ll see on the right something that says “record to track”

Click and enable that button and then it will record the midi to your instrument/midi track AU
