ipMIDI + Nuendo 5 + SSL AWS900

Using ipMIDI to connect my AWS900SE+ to Nuendo 5.1 on Win 7 64-bit, I get very strange behaviour.
There seems to be a midi overload as Nuendos midi activity meter is maxed out for both incoming and
outgoing midi traffic as soon as I activate an ipMIDI port in Nuendo even with Nuendo in stop mode and idle.
This only happens though when activating the port for use with a Mackie Control unit (the protocol used by
the AWS900 with Nuendo). When activating a ipMIDI port for use with a midi track in the arrange window,
everything is cool. Anyone?

It might be the ipMIDI controller. Open up the ipMIDI Control Panel and make sure the “Loop Back” box is unchecked.

Solved! The ipMIDI provided by SSL was version 1.6 which apparently doesn’t work on W7.
Version 1.8 was the ticket. SSL website updated now.
