Is a gobal usage of Expression Maps possible

I recently got to an point with using expression maps in cubase 15 pro that is a bit annoying.

Maybe I didn’t found the right configuration.

The point:

I creasted an expression map for one of my orchestral libraries in project A, a few days ago.

Today i wanted to use this map in another new project B. But there weren’t any expression maps in the new project.

So i tried to find the saved files on my computer. I only found the files for older maps, but not for the new i have added days ago.

So i opened the project A, found the maps in the menu, exported them to the folder, opened project B again and had to import them to this project.

Then I tested this:

I added a new slot to the imported map on project B, saved the project, opened project A, and the created slot wasn’t there.

My guess is, that the expression maps were save within the project, but not externally.

So my first question is: Is there any option oder configuration, that allows to have a config folder for expression maps, so that these there imported automatically to the project.

I don’t mean, that they should be configured to a instrument automatically. But it’s a bit annoying, that i have to import all by myself.

The second question is following the first:

Is it possible, if the were a global configuration of expression maps, that if I add an option to the map in one project, hat this option is automatically usable in another project that uses the same expression map?

Hi,

The Expression Maps are project-based. You can export and import them.

You can also use the project templates, if you want to use them in multiple projects.
