I think @DosWasBest has a point when suggesting for you to start a new topic. Clearly your SAM does not state that no valid licenses were found as the problem lies one step before that.
Do I really need to?
I have been responding to OP?
I had enough of researching and trying this and that…I sent emails to support I will have to wait until they sort this mess out.
I will add this the worst experience I’ve had with steinberg in the many years with them…I suppose it’s to do with the new protection system but prior to this been happy I still have the original dongle somewhere lol….
It’s free of charge to start a new topic.
Your issue is not the same of the OP, so currently we’re mixing two topics in one.
I have been responding to Dark man blue…concerning my issue it’s too late for me as I cannot get back loss of work and the service is staggeringly bad but if OP doesn’t want my engagement I won’t post anymore!
If you feel more comfortable staying in this topic then remain here.
Can you post a screenshot of your Activation Manager?
Well I have opened a new, detailed ticket with Steinberg. It has become apparent to me that I am unable to discover whatever the cause of my problem is. But please, if you have any ideas feel free to post them here. I have told Steinberg I would be happy to allow one of their tech guys to access my MacBook remotely… whatever it takes. And if /when a solution is found I will post it here.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
I appreciate your interest …..first I get ‘welcome! To activate your software, please sign in’
. I press nothing happens then eventually I get ‘we are sorry ,we could not complete that action .
Please check your internet connection or try again.
If this computer is constantly offline, use the off-line activation instead which I’ve tried same result.
So you see this screen?
And when you press the big red button “Sign in” absolutely nothing happens?
Which version number is displayed in the bottom right corner?
Also: which OS are you using? Which version?
After pressing sign 3mins later I get as I described could not complete etc Version 16.0.1253
W11
All welcome Stixman
It is using a web browser for login, so I believe the connection between the web browser and the tools from Steinberg is blocked by Windows.
Yes it is indeed…tried turning off firewall also allowing aria2 changing browsers uninstalling etc
Ha? Why? It has nothing to do with the firewall.
The browser should open with the login window.
What? Don’t understand…
I know weird but I had to try something as no support from steinberg….i bet it’s something simple but here I am still locked out nearly 2 weeks!
Changing default browser to try to get to sign in apparently that can work but not for me.
Edit…I’m going to wait till steinberg fix’s this issue or just give me the full installers at least for Nuendo and C14.i hope that you will be sorted Dark ManBlue and thanks to those that tried to help us.
