Is Dorico a Scam? Could EU users gather to ask for a refund or class action?

The astonishing Dorico endorsement by last Finale decision led many people to buy some Dorico License.
I am a Musescore user but still decided to get the anniversary discount for Dorico Elements. I lost about 40€ purchasing the program.
It turned to be a mess of an application with no clue about how humans write music, with different modes that are useless each one to the other.
The underlying DAW structure is not suitable for creating notation software.
Dorico is at 5 now. Did nobody really use it to write some notes, that are not modifiable after inserting, just think a long note encompassing more than a measure, dotted notes, forced duration and other amenities every day pop up on the forum, with infinite customization options that do not solve any of the quirkness because one breaks the other, whatever mindset you have about inputting notes.
So now what about my money and who knows of how many other customers?
Is time for a class action before the shame of Finale advicing to switch to Dorico is believed by countless other unaware people?
Best regards

Caveat emptor.
There is and has long been a 60-day trial version.

Guess what. I tried musescore and and hated it. As @Derrek sayed: you could have tried first.

When Finale announced that they were shutting down, I used the 60-day trial of Dorico to give it a whirl. I was blown away by it and bought it a week later. I’ve happily used it since then on multiple projects.

It’s not about hate at all, Dorico is simply not useable for inputting music.
It’s the hard truth, no kind response of support on the forum can dispell.
Full license purchaser should have open a class action long time ago.
I wonder as professional musicians and youtuber influencers have no clue what they are talking about and none points out the cringe inputting/editing system.

Clearly a lot of folks spanning the breadth of musical experience disagree with you. Sorry you feel as you do.

That’s strange — I use it daily…

Thousands of users would disagree. Those who are are starting out using the program frequently post tutorial questions, and in this forum there are many professional and advanced users who will patiently guide newer users.

I’ll close this topic for the moment.
