Is it possible: add Fermata to actual MIDI track?

I have a MIDI track that requires a slight pause, but I don’t want to merely lengthen the bar to achieve this.

Is there a way to add a musical fermata to a note in the actual MIDI data? or will doing this in Score achieve the same ends?

Hi,

You can slow down Tempo significantly at the end of the bar.
