Hi, new user here.
Wondering if it’s possible to change the length of a given track?
i.e., I have two tracks;
Track1: 1 bar loop
Track2: 2 bar loop.
I’d like to reduce track2’s 2 bar loop by one beat.
Is this acheivable?

Hi ceetronic,
There are a number of things you can do here,

You can use Time Stretch to reduce the bar length but this would speed up that loop.

You can Time Stretch loop two to lengthen it slightly to give you a slower beat.

You can set the grid size to a 1/4 note (top right grid tab), set the time ruler to the last 1/4 note position, tap to highlight the loop, tap the Cut icon and delete the unwanted note, but this would simply create a 3/4 time signature.
Are any of these suggestions useful, if not then I think maybe you need to be a bit more specific with your requirements.

Hi Mike, really appreciate the reply. Great recommendations, but not what I’m after.
I’ll have another go at explaining what I’m trying to do.
Let’s say I have two tracks, one is 64 steps, the other is 60 steps. I was wondering if you can have the playhead play different track lengths within an overall track length.
So say my overal loop is at 64 steps, when track2 hits 60 steps, it loops back to step 1 and track1 continues to 64 steps and then loops back to step 1.
The idea being you get different patterns forming over time. I’m sure there is a musical term for it. But I’m not sure what it is.
I hope that makes sense. It seems to me it isn’t possible. But thought I’d ask.

The playhead in Cubasis wont allow what you are asking.
I do understand what you mean, the only real solution here is to extend the amount of both bars containing both 60 and 64 step loops to achieve this evolving pattern, this should work well.
