Is it possible to record audio into WaveLab Elements 9?

I’m on a Windows 10 machine, using a Roland Studio-Capture audio interface and I’m having trouble recording audio in (say from an external synthesizer), doesn’t matter what VST Audio Connections settings I change, I get no signal. I am able to select my audio interface. I read somewhere that WaveLab can’t record in, that you have to use another program like Audacity or Cubase and then import the file for editing in WaveLab, is this true?

Hello,

in general Wavelab Elements 9 is able to record from any incoming audio signal.
The problem probably occurs because the driver of the Roland Studio-Capture audio interface cannot be initalized by the application.
Please try the latest drivers or do a firmware update if available. Other wise try to use another audio interface.
